Challenges we solve

The realities of cleaning a care environment

Care settings need verifiable results, comfortable air and audit-ready paperwork, all at once.

The challenge

Some surfaces need a documented kill claim, not just a clean look.

Our approach: A Health Canada DIN-registered disinfectant (DIN 02496704) for hard, non-porous surfaces. Clean first with the bio-based system, then disinfect where a kill claim is required.

The challenge

Incontinence, washroom, garbage and drain odours linger and fragrance only masks them.

Our approach: Beneficial bacteria consume the organic matter behind those odours at the source, so the smell is removed rather than covered. Supported by a bacterial odour spray and an activated-charcoal absorber.

The challenge

Harsh chemical fumes are unwelcome in occupied care spaces.

Our approach: Unscented, low-VOC, pH-neutral cleaners with no bleach, chlorine, ammonia or phosphates, leaving no harsh chemical smell for staff working all shift.

The challenge

Too many SKUs, too many SDS to manage, inconsistent dilution across units.

Our approach: One ultra-concentrate plus a dilution-on-demand sprayer replaces a shelf of single-task chemicals, cutting SKUs, SDS and training load into a standardized SOP your team can repeat across sites.

Why Nature’s Pond

Why care facilities choose Nature's Pond

Registered disinfection where it counts

A Health Canada DIN-registered disinfectant for hard, non-porous surfaces, so your kill-claim step is documented and defensible. Clean first, then disinfect.

Odour removed at the source

Beneficial bacteria digest the organic matter behind washroom, incontinence and drain odours and keep working for hours, so rooms smell genuinely fresh, not perfumed over.

Unscented, low-odour chemistry

Unscented, low-VOC, free of bleach, chlorine, ammonia and phosphates.

One program, fewer SKUs

A single concentrate replaces a shelf of single-task products, so there are fewer SDS to manage, less to train against and one trainable SOP across every unit.

Documentation your team can rely on

Every product ships with the paperwork environmental-services and procurement teams expect, and the system is built to simplify what you have to manage.

  • Health Canada DIN-registered disinfectant (DIN 02496704) for hard, non-porous surfaces, with label contact time and dilution
  • Safety Data Sheets available for every product, with fewer SDS to manage when one concentrate replaces many
  • pH-neutral, low-VOC formulas free of bleach, chlorine, ammonia and phosphates, safe on plumbing, drains and septic
  • Dilution and application guides for a standardized custodial SOP and staff onboarding

Questions

Healthcare cleaning: FAQ

Common questions about cleaning and disinfection for healthcare environments.

Is the disinfectant approved for healthcare use in Canada?
The disinfectant carries a Health Canada Drug Identification Number (DIN 02496704) and is formulated for hard, non-porous environmental surfaces. Always follow the label for contact time and dilution. It is a separate registered product from the bio-based cleaners, so pair it for kill-claim surfaces and use the cleaners for everyday cleaning.
What is the difference between your cleaner and your disinfectant?
The Multi-Surface system is a beneficial-bacteria cleaner: it lifts and digests soil and removes odour at the source, but it is not a disinfectant. The Disinfectant Concentrate is a separate Health Canada DIN-registered product that delivers a documented kill claim. Best practice is to clean first, then disinfect where a kill claim is required.
How does this help with persistent care-setting odours?
Conventional fragrance sprays cover odour and can release VOCs that linger in occupied spaces. Our approach is different: beneficial bacteria consume the organic matter behind incontinence, washroom, garbage and drain odours, so the source is removed.
Will switching reduce the number of SDS and SKUs we have to manage?
Yes. A single ultra-concentrate plus a dilution-on-demand sprayer replaces a shelf of single-task chemicals, so you carry fewer SKUs, manage fewer Safety Data Sheets and train against one standardized procedure. Add the registered disinfectant only where a kill claim is needed.
Do you offer facility pricing and onboarding for multi-site operators?
Yes. We support care operators with volume pricing, larger pack sizes, a trainable SOP and onboarding so results stay consistent across distributed sites. Request facility pricing and our team will build the right program.
